The annual Premier’s Reading Challenge began on March 1st, 2026, and PLPS will be participating once again. This is a wonderful opportunity for teachers and parents to encourage our children to read books and appreciate reading as an enjoyable recreational pursuit.
Our students and staff have had an enjoyable week engaging in activities promoting and celebrating the learning at PLPS throughout Education Week (Monday 18th May to Friday 22nd May).
I would like to thank everyone who took the opportunity to visit our Book Fair which was set up in our school library during Education Week. Families have taken great interest in the many books being available.
The Year 1 Science topic for Term 2 focuses on understanding how objects move and the science behind different types of movement. On 22nd and 26th May, students in Year 1 participated in an exciting incursion presented by 'Hands on Science'.
