Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th October our year four students had their three-day camp at Woorabinda. The bushland camp provided our students the opportunity to participate in exciting activities and immersive learning experiences.
On arrival our students and staff hiked through the native bushland and learnt some skills on preparing and cooking their own lunch in an open fire. It was pleasing to hear how students involved themselves in all the activities offered at Woorabinda Camp, attempting and persevering with some of the challenging and new activities such as the high ropes course, with many overcoming their nerves and completing the course. Other highlights the students have shared were the canoeing and the zipline.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation to all our staff who have accompanied our children on this camp. This is an outstanding example of the commitment our teachers and education support staff demonstrate towards our students, enabling them to undertake many experiences that support their learning and personal development.
