Sun Hats

With the warmer weather upon us, can I urge all parents to support our school by ensuring that their children have a sunhat with them at school.

With the temperatures on the rise and the UV index is at its highest, it is strongly encouraged for all children to develop this important life skill of sun protection. Sunhats are required for all students when they are outside at recess, lunch and during outdoor learning activities. Students are also encouraged to apply sunscreen before school and bring it to school to apply before going outside. If students do not have their own sunscreen, they are welcome to use sunscreen provided in the classrooms. For students who may suffer from skin reactions from certain types of sunscreens, can parents please contact the school via phone or email to ensure this information is recorded and communicated to classroom teachers.
