Year 6 Camp

Last week, our Year 6 students and staff enjoyed an action-packed week of engaging in memorable experiences at their camp in Canberra. I was delighted to join the group for two days and thoroughly enjoyed sharing in some of these experiences with our students.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to observe proceedings in the High Court of Australia, and our visit coincided with a sitting week of Parliament. Being able to observe both the Senate and the House of Representatives during Question Time was a particularly unique and valuable experience, providing our students with a firsthand insight into Australia’s democratic processes.

The manner in which our students conducted themselves throughout the camp and during visits to the various attractions was something our entire school community can be very proud of. They consistently demonstrated courtesy, respect and politeness in their interactions with educators and guides, while also showing consideration for members of the public visiting these important sites.

I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to all staff members who contributed their time, energy and commitment to making this camp such a successful and rewarding experience for our students.
