INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

Interactive whiteboardPLPS students and staff have developed an eLearning vision that is clearly understood, articulated and shared across the school. ICT is used to support higher order thinking, decision making, communication, collaboration, creativity and problem solving skills.

The use of ICT is embedded in our daily curriculum and enriches our teaching and learning by providing access to desktop and notebook computers through our school wide wireless network. Student engagement is also enhanced through the consistent use of interactive whiteboards which are a feature of every learning space in the school.

Our school has also developed policies to ensure a culture which encompasses appropriate social and ethical values with the use of ICT.

The design of our learning spaces encourages student learning to occur in flexible, physical environments which accommodates high levels of ICT enabled learning.
